It appears that you have it wired correctly. Screw the meter if you're sending and receiving properly.

Alright I believe I need to replace my tie rods. Can someone help me out and teach me how do I know "for sure" they need replaced, what all pieces do I need to buy, and how to do it? Never done this job before.

    Only the best.
Have some turn the wheel back and forth just enough to make the steering components move. Watch for slight movement in the tie rod joints. Or just jack the truck up and shack the wheel back and forth. Either way you watch the inner and outer joints for movement. There is an inner and outer tie rod on each side. When replacing either make sure you measure the length of the inner and outer and get them as close possible to that length after replacement. U will need an alignment ASAP afterwards. Hope this makes sense lol

Youtube will teach you how to do all this lol

eh sorta. I remember for some reason someone telling me if I could twist them with my hand fairly easily that they are bad, and if I get under the front and twist they both move. I assume this is the "outer" portion I'm moving. Do I need to replace both inner and outer?

Could be ball joints if squeaking when turned. Could also be tierods. Youll have to isolate the squeak to be certain.
