I know most of you don't, but I was wondering if anybody in this thread attends Southern Union in Opelika. I pass a good many sick Taco's on my way to work in the morning. The ones I see are always waiting in a long line of traffic trying to get into the schools parking lot. Just curious.

I go to Auburn and see some nice Tacos out there too. I'm in the Opelika area every once in a while, but rarely see any over there.

Anyone looking for some rear storage bins? I took mine out and will let them go for super cheap.

I know what you mean. Seems like every Taco I see in Opelika is bone stock and a senior citizen driving it.

my buddy from church came over saturday and went deer hunting with me (he has been duck huntin before but this was first time deer huntin) my sister kept texting me saying that she seen deer after deer and she was hunting 400 yards from us through the woods, so we kept expecting deer to come out. about 7:45 we had this doe come out about 30 yards from us, and he shot and the firing pin didnt make contact, so we bolted as quick and quietly as we could and he put one in her spine. had to finish her off with a head shot but he was super excited, and im glad i got to be there for it.

Where does everyone explore around bham? Rode from the hoover met to Elvira Rd and I know of parks. Anything fun around green pond or helena?

I live in Helena. I don't know of anything local. Only been here about 3 years so not 100% sure

Used to be good trails local to bham but as you probably know most got closed years ago.

Yeah I'm home for christmas. Haven't explored around here since 2002 or so. I encountered my old spots blocked off or under construction today for the most part

Not a whole lot in the Helena area, but Montevallo has the Slab, which is a nice combo of trails, mud, and steep climbs.

From Helena, take the 17 toward Montevallo, that runs into the 22 (take a right), the 22 runs into the 10 (turn right), follow for around 5 miles, then right on 251 (it's right after 2 hairpin turns). Quarter mile down 251, the road turns to dirt, trails straight ahead, to your left, and to your right.

I live right down the road from the 17/22 corner.

Check out the place by bass pro in leeds. It's pretty big and pretty cool. Mud, hill climbs, and a little bit of rocks. You can cross the cahaba river and theres another section to it that I havent explored much.

Theres also lakeshore. But it's just dirt roads with two pretty fun hills and a nice waterfall climb.

What's going on Parker! You been out to Leeds lately? Last time we went it was blocked off with a nice little notice about a $10000 fine if caught trespassing. Because the parents of the girl that died from the rolled jeep sued the land owners (I think it was a timber company but can't remember) and they got forestry services and game wardens and such involved. So it was a big legal mess for anyone that got caught out there.

Nothing much, just trying to fix my truck and get back into wheeling. That's interesting, I don't think I remember hearing anything about that. Was this recently? I went last week and entered at leeds and then crossed the cahaba and went out another way that did have a gate that was open but I don't recall a sign. Ill probably think twice before going back out there again.
