I broke an upper control arm about 6 hours into the trifecta trails
but this held the last 5 hours to get me back to town

the only place we went that you needed a pass or permit for was the Sand Flats Recreation area, It has Hell's Revenge and Fins and Things trails in it.

there was someone at the gate taking money and giving permits. I think it was $5 for a day or $10 for a week

    Trials i did:
    poison spider mesa
    the golden spike
    gold bar rim
    fins and things
    gemini bridges
    Top of the world
and a short part of the trail in arches national park. yes you can off road there

some of our group did long canyon. i don't know if they needed a permit but they took some awesome pics

That's awesome, I think we talked about camping a few days but talked about getting a place to stay so we could shower.

you will want a shower every night. there is really fine sand/dust that i guess is just in the air. you don't really notice it. but by the end of the day you feel like you rolled around on the beach while you were wet . the inside of my truck is still covered in it

La Sal pass is great but be mindful of the time of year. There will still be a snow pack up there in May-June which could make it impassable.

Cabins we stayed at are just off the road on your way to the La Sal Pass trail

2600 miles round trip, plus whatever we put on the truck while riding. So say 3000.
