I'm going to see about getting my GoPro together and ready. I will be bringing my camera of course. Hope to get some incredible shots of the trails, as well as some long exposure night shots!

Pardon the interruption but I have read this thread with great interest and promise not to stick my nose in any more than necessary....

    :fingerscrossed:

I am going to Moab in August (not the best time but the only time I have in the foreseeable future and this is a bucket list trip)...

Great thread!! I am learning a lot and making a list of trails to run/activities to do/places to go and not go - thanks!!

    Anyone taking a drone?

Haha don't feel like you're sticking your nose in! Feel free to comment and participate all you want here.

I don't believe any of us own a drone but that would be awesome.

It's a first time for all of us so we are going to be learning a lot about a trip like this and about Moab.

Biggest thing I have learned is book your camping spots early. We started checking 3-4 weeks ago and most everything was booked solid. What wasn't booked was deep in a hard trail. We are just going to stay in Area BFE now.

Would be cool to do a time lapse of the trip there to see the scenery change. I did one from Orange beach to home about a year ago. You have to be very vigilant in hitting that record button though so you don't have any skipped spots. The scenery change would be a lot cooler heading out west than it was in my video. You would also have to change the settings or you would have an hour long time lapse. It would definitely be more interesting than mine. Anyway, you guys be safe and have fun!
