Is that as simple as 4 hooked lag bolts, 2- 2x4s, and ratchet straps?

    Sure is!

They are cam buckle straps though. Ratchet straps would be pretty dangerous when trying to lower the tent.

Its not that, I can flip it onto the truck in less than a minute. I like riding the trails without it, just makes it easier and less worry. Also setting it up and taking it down in the rain

I gotcha. I’ve never actually wheeled with my tent on before. It sits pretty low so I’m hoping I don’t notice much of a difference

Yeah Amy sounds like she's leaning towards not wanting to go, especially with Leo. It looks like it's pretty much gonna be tons of rain and not snow.

she didn't, but I was really wanting to have her and Leo along so we can train him to go on trail rides and get used to camping and such.

I can't haul my big ass dogs places with me so we want to be able to do it with him.

Honestly, I'm almost leaning towards a 1 day trip because the biggest issue will be the campsite/sleeping and keeping the dog clean to get in the tent.

that's my issue, a one day may be how i go with it as well. muddy dogs and a tent are why i want them to have their own tent with the kennel in it.

just watching the weather day by day to see what happens.

I definitely want to go, but it would be an expensive trip if we go and it's just miserably wet and the trails are downright impossible and the campsite sucks lol
