I'm just glad we have a very low chance of rain tomorrow when we will be camping. Should make for a nice evening. I'm going to push as much as I can to maybe get done packing sooner...I'd really like to setup in daylight haha

So is the plan to just eat on the trail on Saturday? I'm thinking I'm bringing a camp stove so I can heat up some soup or something. Don't want to eat a frozen sandwich.

I will have a stove for coffee Saturday morning, probably have cereal or Pop-tart for breakfast and get a sub or something for lunch while on the trail.

Edit: and a lot of snacks and drinks

yeah we actually bought lunchables for trail lunch. just have hotdogs for dinners which I can do on the fire or my camp stove. we decided to go simple this time because it may be a big pain dealing with the puppy.

Hmm. Well I'm bringing a 1/2 gallon container of coffee. So that'll be covered for me and my dad and whoever wants some. May just end up eating a cold sandwich and some snacks then. Get some warm dinner on the way back.

so I know no beer on the trails, but like it's not even allowed to be in the cooler? I'd tell them to check our trash and stuff for opened drinks....it sucks if we just have to store it at camp.

If they check coolers going in, I’d imagine it’s not allowed in the cooler at all.

I just plan on having a beer cooler and leaving it at camp. I should have some room in there for some other folks beer

yeah I mean I think we are going to have a cheap beer cooler, too. just a dumb rule...I understand the no drinking...but how can you expect us to trust folks with us leaving stuff at camp? I don't know if I'll even leave my canopy up at the camp, but I might.

They didn't use to check coolers until people started getting drunk on the trails and people started dying. Then their insurance rates went up, so...
    More like dumb people.

I'm totally fine with the cooler checking, makes 100% sense, but it's like going down the road...I'm allowed to have a case of beer out of reach of driver and sealed up, just no open drinks.

Yeah but if they allow it they can't afford the insurance. Every time an accident happens their insurance goes up, if someone is hurt their is a law suit and if alcohol is involved there is a better chance they will loose. That's why Stoney now has a guard shack at the trail head and cooler searches.

so, I'm thinking of buying the cheap Lifetime Molded cooler or maybe the Ozark Trail cooler. 100 vs 130 i think in price.
