Yeah I get that, I just wondered why Strava is the go-to for it seems like everyone out there. Mainly, what makes it superior when others (and myself) already have a device that tracks the info they want, just to have that same info sync over to a different app (Strava). I know there are reasons, I just don't know them yet lol. Guess I'll do some research!

I actually use strava for my tracking. It does a really good job, and better than my Fitbit it seems.

I guess just checking out the strava app at a glance, it seems a little more user friendly and a better layout than some of the other apps I've looked at. I've had super similar results tracking with my phone vs my bike odometer/wheel magnet dealio, but I've definitely gotta say that using a watch to track the route, distance, heart rate, speeds, elevation, and all that extra jazz is pretty cool! Seems like Strava is a good option for logging many many rides over the years, on new or old trails, and being able to compare stats from previous times down those trails. I guess a few other apps can do that, but maybe Strava is the more user friendly route.

Maybe so. Like I said I really don’t know, just started with strava so now I use it. But I can’t get it to sync to my Fitbit for some reason so that’s annoying.

hmm, looks like there's an option to keep stats on more than 1 bike, and also stats on your bike with certain parts configurations. For example, you add a new drivetrain or tires to your bike, and now you've got all the stats for keeping maintenance records. Could be super useful for keeping tabs on your bike/parts, and definitely a nice card up your sleeve for resale when you can show someone the mileage of a specific part or bike with proof.

Not always. Matt does jumps, but not drops yet. So sometimes it’s for learning, not racing. Just like I don’t do jumps yet.

Someone just teach me how to go around berms and curves without going over the top haha. Thats my biggest struggle with losing my downhill speeds.

Haha I know that’s right. I’m still afraid to do any kind of jumps and can’t get my fingers off the brakes when I come to them
