I really don’t sit on the saddle that much honestly

 

I’ve got to get better about that. I struggle with needing a lower gear often and when I stand up in that gear it’s too easy with the extra force I can use and I end up slipping a lot.

i was talking to Wes yesterday while watching him and riding, his bike just seems so much more efficient than mine. Idk if it’s the gears or what but he seemed to pedal so much less than I did and just got up to speed way faster.

 

he probably just pushes hard in a higher gear.

That’s one thing I noticed about the guy I ride with. My legs are conditioned enough to push through in a higher gear, where he is staying in a lower gear and pedaling much more.

 

But he’s sitting a lot. I know he’s stronger and in better shape right now but it seems like a crazy drastic difference. He told me what gears he tends to stay in and it’s similar to mine but I go lower sometimes on uphill sections than him.

 

I need to ride around my backyard some.

 

It is, but also finding something you need to improve on and just doing that over and over. Instead of just blasting past it like a time trial... @Jerneyman

I can do most trails, and by do I mean survive and make it, but doesn’t mean I got good at it.

 

Oh man yeah we could totally find some stuff.

I’d love a trip to oak mtn again, I def need it.

We do need to plan something.

I might be able to make that work. Depends on if my wife and I use that weekend to go somewhere for our anniversary.

 

Since that’s not already planned...don’t do it that weekend....duh...plan for biking.

I just looked at academy for vans and they didn’t have my size

 

Oh sweet. Size 11. I may need to go to belk. They were 40$ at academy
