Yeah, the Aaron's 499 is on the 5th. Most of the bad traffic is going to be East of Birmingham though. Though there will be some traffic from the West, most of that should be past Birmingham by 10 am, as the race is at noon.

It will be fun in both directions, unfortunately the return home will be full of a bunch of adrenaline rushed drunks who fill like they could be race car drivers.

I am not sure here in Alabama, but in Florida, after the biggest race of the season, the Daytona 500, you would find a lot of heavy traffic, but not a bunch of drunks. Florida takes drunk driving pretty serious, and they would watch for that stuff on people leaving the track area.

HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is all you find in dega!!!!! the surrounding counties make almost their entire years capital off just the two days a year after each race at dega. my brother in law has been working dega for about the last 12-15 years and he always talks about the drunks afterwards. i refuse to get on the interstates in birmingham a couple hours after the race because by that time they have made there way to b'ham.

Hello all. Kind of new here, but had a question I was hoping people might be able to help me out with. It has to do with the passenger window on my '09 double cab taco. The other day I went to roll it down and the front of the window dropped into the door. After taking the interior panel off and looking at the window I noticed the "little plastic piece" that is glued to the bottom of the glass, one side of it had broke off the glass and was causing the glass to come out of the track that lowers and raises the glass. After calling the dealer to see how much the "little plastic piece" on the glass was, I was told you have to buy the whole glass (for $175). So now for my question, does anybody know any other options to get this glass or the small piece to sit it back in the track. I feel like paying $175 for a small piece of plastic is a little overkill. Open for any ideas, junk yards, internet, etc.

is that $175 for them to fix it and all or just for the part? if $175 fixes it i would gladly pay that. i cant stand working with door windows, good way to tear up your arm real quick and i just dont have that kind of patience that it takes to deal with the windows.

$175 just for the part. No clue on labor, I would imagine another probably $100. Honestly, it only took about 20 minutes total to get the door completely apart and figure out what the problem was. The fix is now the issue.

I didn't take pics when I had it apart. I will have to take it apart again, maybe this weekend and post them.
