Yeah, I'm not even ready to buy yet anyway still. Somebody had a CJ with a 350 with propane, ford 9" rear end, d44 frontend, full cage, winch for 5 grand in murfreesboro

I'm out of "it's a jeep thing" comebacks. Haha.
As far as wheeling, I was looking at sometime in June. I should have some More monies saved up by then to be ably to go.

Who knows. I thought the 2015 would be a redesign, marking another generation.

JKs are wayyyy too expensive for what I want. I've been eyeing upgraded samurais, CJs, toyota trucks, XJs. Really anything with EFI or propane, solid axles (I'd want the sami to have upgraded axles), cage on anything with a soft top. Winch or 5-point seatbelts are nice perks.

In the end once the money is together, I'll probably take the best deal I find, regardless of which of the above it is.

    best wheel bearings around! www.marionbumper2bumper.com
Depends on what XJ you are looking for. I see them all the time for under $2k for a drivable truck. Then you just mod away! 4 inch lift kits for $500, etc..

Fuck that shit. :) I can definitely pick up something mostly ready to go cheaper than I can mod. I can find a stock one for $1500, or there is an XJ on CL in Chattanooga for $3k that has lift, tires, full cage, racing seats with 5-point belts, winch and bumper. Putting a cage on the stocker by itself would eat up most of the money saved by buying stock.

There's no way to beat picking up somebody else's project financially. Granted, I'll have to probably spend some time and money fixing up somebody else's mistakes and possibly engine damage, but that's true with any sub-$5k beater.

I'm down for June too guys. I should have gears by then. And maybe a locker.

What's up fellas! A buddy of mine and I are planning on riding Saturday probably out at the slab. Will be both of our first times there. Anyone here going to be out that way? Can y'all let me know how to get out there? Also, anything to be aware of, stay away from, etc... Thanks!

I'm just pulling your leg Paul. I know your truck is capable, I've seen it in action.

I'm the local to the slab. I live just 6 miles from it. Unfortunately, my truck is in the shop, and my time is spread very thin at the moment. Hope ya'll can join us on a ride in the future!
