at the speed that I was going, 60 mph in a 55, it would have totaled the truck because of the impact to the front and the front airbags going off. I just got back from a local body shop and the damn thing is costing me $6,000 in repairs. Since I didn't file a police report, there is no official document, other than kerri's hospital papers, stating what date the accident happened. I didn't see a need to file a report because the truck was driveable and my main concern, at the time, was getting kerri to Brookwood.

Matt, I hope Kerri is feeling better. $6000 to repair, I hope that was not just the air bags, What else was damaged?

Interesting, the first deer I hit that caused me to get my front bumper I hit at 60mph and nothing more than a broken grill and hanging factory bumper.. but all that matters is everyone is ok! How bad was the damage they found at the shop?

It's all inside damage. It's 1457 per air bag. Got to replace both front seatbelts, the whole headliner, the srs module and something else. Can't really remember the other thing.

Difference too could be that I sit up a little higher and I tend to catch all mine either on the driver or passenger corner. Except that first one I hit that bastard head on. Broke one of my brand new black magic's too.. I was pissed! But look where I'm at now haha

I'm stoked about meeting up tomorrow. i've been looking forward to a good offroad trip. my girlfriend is gonna ride with me, and i'm not gonna have to worry about the pit bull.

I'll be in the silver stepside xtra cab. I'm gonna do my best not to look like an idiot out there. How many folks are coming?

Glad to hear the insurance worked out for ya, i was lucky when I was in my wreck about 2 months ago that all state looked out for me.

Sorry to hear about the accident man! Glad that you two are ok. Good thing that the insurance is going to cover the repairs. It does suck that the cost of repairs for airbags is high, but like they always say, you can't put a price on your life. Hopefully you will get it fixed and back soon. What did you get for a rental?

Psh rental! Who needs those when you have this! Don't pay to rent it and don't pay for gas! Win win situation here.

Right now we are meeting up at the Walmart on 280 in Sylacauga at 12:00. I am going to wait for a couple of guys from Tuscaloosa so we might be a few minutes late. Because of the heat index it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the time got pushed later. But that is up to everybody to decide.

Unless I pull off some miracle in the morning then I probably won't be able to make it tomorrow.

I've still got to mount all 4 shocks and move my rear hanger back. So yeah... I don't think I'll be done in enough time in the morning. Pretty bummed, but school started back this week and with an online class and two hybrids I just wasn't able to get it done. I just got ahead on my online classes though so I have all day tomorrow to devote to my truck.
