I like that we will have cooler weather, but not sure that I like the fact that it will most likely rain the night before.

To be honest, with unknown flood damage, $3k for any vehicle is on the high end. It shows estimated cost to be around $16k to repair, so I am willing to bet the engine was hydrolocked and has internal damage. Plus electronics damage. I would probably buy it for parts if I had the need for one.

yeah i figure with as good a shape that the body is in if nothing else $100 for the tailgate and and it has pretty good nitto tread left so $5-600 there but i was really hoping that it wasnt running during the flood like it was parked and a flood came and then the flood left. i also figured reaplacing carpet and seats would be a few thousand alone, but i'd live with the seats and rip the carpet out and bedline the floor if it ran. it says it the OR pkg but it has base seats in it so i assume thats just a decal. it would be nice to just drain all the fluids and replace them and have $4000-5000 in a really nice truck.

So this run tomorrow, it is only Saturday? Or is it an overnight? I am finishing up my front gears, so I will be able to make this. Where should I meet someone if coming from the Birmingham area? What time?

what up fellas. I found out today that Forever Wild has announced Open Woods week dates for the Sipsey tract, aka sipsey river swamp. Normally you cannot wheel around in the park, but you can for the dates of October 5- 14.

I am off monday, and planning a trip down there the day of the 6th to wheel around, do some fishing, explore, etc. It is a very wild area, with a lot of sloughs, creeks, and oxbow lakes. There is some fantastic bird watching if you're inna that sorta stuff. It is small game season, but I don't think there would be too many hunters on a monday. The main road runs at least 5 miles back from the gate, and there are a lot of side trails and paths to explore. I have never been in there in a truck though so i don't know the condition of the trails more than a mile in.

I wanted to let yall know in case anyone wanted to meet monday to ride around. sorry for the short notice. here's a pic I took when I was there before

Well now I get to just ride! Broke the right front CV shaft on one obstacle, and then the left front on another! Had to park it. Now I am on the ride of shame in a jeep.

It was still fun, too bad you broke on the first obstacle.. We'll have to do it again and hit more of the park.

Yeah, it did suck. With those new gears I am putting a lot more stress on the CV axles, so yeah, Now I just need stronger ones, or switch to a selectable locker instead of a lunchbox! But we did have a blast!

Dave, I think their website was Bamaoffroadgroup.com
