The Mobile and gulf shores area does... The Majority members in this thread are here in Huntsville or an hour out.. So that's why we have more meets up here then in Mobile or South Alabama.. I would love to go to one of theirs though..

Quick question guys, I have a 08 double cab short bed and want a lift but I'm on a pretty tight budget ($400ish), I'm thinking about buying the 5100 series bilstein's and buying an add a leaf kit for the rear. Does anyone have any input or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Did you have the TSB already done yet? Depending on what type of off road you would be doing, I would recommend Bilstien 5100 set of shocks and go with a set of 885's then get the AAL. That should put you right around budget and right at 3"s or a little lower... Then when the time comes you can get a set of Light Racing UCA's and be rocking it like the pro's!

I don't have the tsb done and hows the ride with the ome's? I mainly trail ride and occasionally get in a little mud.

I fixed my previous post.. I just realized OME is a little more expensive... so you were correct with Bilstien..

    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-1...pre-runner-4wd-front-pre-load-adjustable.html

Then find you a set of used or new 885's

Also to get proper lift, get the TSB done first, Then buy the TSB AAL that way you will have the perfect lift... (I think that's possible.. You 3" guys can chime in whenever..)

About this whole tsb thing, will it matter that i bought my truck used with about 70k on it? Do I have to call up my local Toyota dealership and complain about the ride or anything?

you wont qualify for the tsb. I wouldnt get the billies. i know a lot of guys have them on here but so did i.... for 2 weeks and then took them off and sold them. best bet is to save your money for just a little bit longer and go all ome. their shocks arent that much more than the billies and are far better IMO and a lot of others minds as well. then if you want it to sit level get an 1.5" aal if you want just a slight rake get a 2" aal. then that should get you started if you want the full 3" lift then go with the little top plate spacer thing that they sell that is like 1/2" or something and a 2" aal. but you shouldnt be much over your budget if any if you do that. then of course do a self install. any more questions just let me know.

going that route would get it to your door around $600 if you dont get new rear shocks. which i have a set of the ext travel factory shocks that you could get by with for a little while if nothing else and they have less then 20 miles on them.

or you can save some money like kyle said and go with the 5100's up front and eibach coils and get an aal in the back and give me a call and ill get ya my shocks for the rear to save you some more money till you can afford to get billies for the rear.
