the implication is there, but the hidden implication of "if possible" is there as well. I don't know his circumstances, but when someone CHOOSES to get off of their parents insurance just to be off of it...then yes they're stupid in that regard. Some situations force you to, or make better sense to choose that path.

 

He also lived with his dad until two months ago to buy a house. So yeah, I'm stupid.

No, he's right. I have made some silly financial decisions but they made sense at the time. And probably still the best one to have made.

perfect example. my dad allowed and actually wanted me to stay on his insurance (it helps him out too) and he wanted me to stay at home as long as I could for financial savings reasons. it just worked out for us that it was simply me and him, or I would've been gone sooner lol

 

At least they were your decisions
