that was low of me lol. sorry bud. gotta pay to play though. I pushed my truck and will continue to do so, it's not something I bought to baby and not test it's limits. It broke on a very simple obstacle, now that should never happen again.

 

At least I can say I installed my sliders myself

 

tell them about your slider install, you know the prep you had to do before hand. lol

Good, but my dad does on a lot of stuff. He didn't even want to give me an opportunity to get the bolt out when it broke in the frame, he picked the sliders up off the ground and put them in the bed, tied them down and told me to take it to Toyota and let them do it. Was all I could do to get him to let me try to get the bolt out

 

Sounds like you need to ask him why he would support you being an engineer if you can't even get support of figuring out how to unfuck yourself

 

Not sure I'd phrase it quite like that lol. I love working on my truck but my parents doubt my abilities, they were surprised I actually got the sliders on. Act like I'm some kind of clueless bafoon when it comes to working on cars, like I didn't design everything that's been done to the damn truck

 

wow, that's rough. my dad was that way on my first truck, he hated when I did stuff to it. So I took it to a friends and did it there. Just asked for forgiveness later haha, it always worked out. Now he just understands I'm gonna do stuff to my vehicles no matter what.
