    I take a pre workout (cheap bpi brand from walmart, works great for me), and whey protein (basically any brand really works just get some, I use ON gold standard). That's it. Bcaa's don't help me.

    Bcaa are simply the three contributing amino from protein. Lucine is the number 1 contributor of muscle protein synthesis, but you need calories behind it to truthfully stimulate it. So you could take bcaa with a low protein meal to.help get MPS started again. It really has the same effect of protein when taken with calories.

    Lil chris is actually right for once...;)
    Protein, creatine are the major two you should take if you can't/won't buy anything else. Substitute creatine for a good preworkout if you need caffeine. Throw in bcaa If you want to be really fancy.

    I don't think any of us have said this yet, use creatine monohydrate for the best results

    Creatinine in your urine is not a sign of the kidneys struggling. This is also a myth unless someone has problems with kidney function in general. Red meat will cause spikes in blood urea nitrogen, as well as more nitrogen in the urine. Doesn't mean anything except your body is excreting what it doesn't need.

    Well the other ones like hcl work as well, they are just expensive for no reason, mono will get you to 100% muscle creatine saturation if you take 5g a day, preferably in two 2.5g doses.
