Amos at one point went down to the talladega forest for a camping / trail riding trip. Would anybody be up for doing something similar this year?

Any of you fellow Bama guys have a Pioneer Z110BT or similar unit that you installed yourself?

I just got mine in and should have my truck next week, I have a few questions for prepping for the install. I've never installed a GPS unit so this seems a little challenging, but I want to try it myself. Perhaps a project for a get together sometime? haha

All I know about Double Din GPS headunits is wiring, wiring, wiring. and then the wiring harness and then the wiring for the BT and the GPS Antenna. And then wiring for the iPod/iPhone......

    So there's a little wiring involved....:D

Yeah, it all seems simple enough when you break it down. However the instructions for the SWI-PS are a little confusing (used to retain steering wheel and bluetooth controls), and I am a little concerned about the tapping into the rear-view camera, vss etc... but I think I can get it figured out.

If its a double din,and you're doing it yourself, and you have never done it before, prepare for a learning experience. Its much easier if you have the premade wire harness made for our trucks. I did mine, and it was definitely one of those installs that took me forever the first time, but i could do it in probably 1/10th the time second time around.

If it were on a Saturday I could probably make it....I am maybe 60 miles from Huntsville. Off days are Fri-Sat so any weekend event is possible.
