Hello! Birmingham born here, unfortunately transplanted to Indiana. First and foremost, Roll Tide! Looking to move back down, around the Pehlam/Alabaster/Hoover/Birmingham area. Anyone know of some decent places to find a job in that area?

I live in Montevallo, you'd be right down the road from me. As for work, it's good right now and everyone seems to be hiring. Now would defanitly be the time to do it if you were going to.

All depends on what you're qualified for. What kind of work are you looking for?

Right now I'm a plant manager for a small linen company. Mostly qualified for management/supervision/leadership. But, I've done everything from Jewelery sales to digging ditches. Literally. So I'm up for any job that is with a great company, that I can support a growing family on. Oh, and it'd be nice if I could have some spare change to fix the truck up with lol.

Thats what I was thinking. Its already beat to hell so I wont have to worry about sheet metal. Plans would be an exo/in cab cage with seats and harness and reinforcing various parts of the frame.

There are many plants and factories around the calera area. Just south of the places you posted that you'd like to move to. With your experience, you should be able to find a job pretty fast. Looking up local companies and giving them a call before moving doesn't hurt either. Never know if someone has a spot open and happens to be looking for you.
