@tweakit88 did it to, it's just a design issue. They can't do anything about it.

they can fix the design lol. it hasn't happened to all the trucks. just saying if my engine is ticking and smoking like that, I'm done with it. to each their own, but I'd get them to do something.

I get that, but what's your plan? HOPE if it's going to cause an issue it does it under warranty? what if when you hit 100,001 miles your engine goes BOOM? then what?

you say "they can't do anything, it's a design issue". they can fix the design. they can fix the engine. they can make it not do that shit lol.

 

I would for sure take it in just to make sure they have note of it. That way if it fails at some point in the future you have documentation that can make them liable instead of you. I would do exactly what Brian said. Take it to a steep paved hill. Make it smoke and take video.

i thinks its smart to take it in and im curious what they will say, but ill be pretty surprised if anything comes of it.

 

I think more for documentation than anything.

 

Pretty much the only thing he could do is complain to corporate and wait weeks/months for his case to be filed and assessed.

 

not saying it has to go to that extent. see below as Andrew has said. my main reason in bringing it in is simply because there isn't a good reason not to. "they won't do anything" is a really stupid reason not to.

agreed, and who knows...like I said this MAY have already been an issue brought in somewhere else and they know about it, possibly have a fix. just because it isn't on TW doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

this is something I would do if they cause an issue when it gets taken in.

 

I would say the likelihood of them having a fix is not good. I mean these are pretty extreme circumstances that this is happening in.

 

I'm not saying there is a fix, but saying there isn't when it hasn't even been taken in makes 0 sense.
