Have some Quikclot in your BOB. Most of the less expensive bags don't have it and it is the real life saver when something severe happens, especially off the beaten path.

Avoid Anderson Hills like the plague! Tornado alley the further north you go from Huntsville but no place is immune. Look at historical tracks on NOAA and you will see where some areas seem to get more consistent tracks then look at the dates and think about how long in between. To relieve all worries, have a basement/shelter and fortify one part of it. Oh, and good insurance.

Haha!. We used to surf at the Jetty's and watch those. Got a picture when I was in diapers at the Jetty's and a picture of my Mom in a bikini when Thomas Drive was nothing but sand dunes.

Gauze pads with QuikClot in them work really well.

    15302.jpg

The problem with QuikClot powder is with wind - when you are dumping some in a wound, and the wind blows, aside from not having the product where you want/need it, you may end up with it in your eye - not good.

lol yep, not necessarily enjoying it.

it's like a really nice hot tub with bubbles and everything, but then you realize you are sitting in pee.
