I will say limestone county is supposed to be the 2nd fastest growing county over the next 10 years in the entire state aside from one down near bham. So property values will skyrocket woohoo:pray:

No one will find or bother you in the middle of nowhere.

As long as you are self sufficient (food, water, shelter) you will be fine. No one may know you are fine, but to me, that's OK...

I lived off of county line rd for 6 months while I was looking for a place to live. I bought in HC for a reason.

except that everyone will think "get to the middle of nowhere" and find you. *cough* Herschel's farm *cough*. then you'll realize you need to be in a town or city for supplies and structures and protection.

lol nope. I can take care of myself, no boy scouting or specific life experiences needed for that.

for anyone to claim they are "prepared" for an apocalypse, that to me proves they won't be ready.

that is because Hollywood/tv wants to make you feel like if you don't have a interpersonal connection with other people something is wrong with you... but there is that colony of just women that has made a few cameos that happens to be in the middle of now where and they seem to be doing pretty ok... all I need is 5000 rounds or so, ill kill 1000 people and build a wall on the road north of my property, 1000 on the south, and that will keep out most of the sane people left. they will be like "TF is this lunatic? I think we will go the other way" I will then have ~3000 rounds left for self defense incase a few crazies decide to slip by, and I will need a few for hunting, but most of the food will be either fished or caught in traps (and grown of course, I mean I live on a farm) as to preserve ammo and not draw attention... also explosives will be strategically placed incase forces somehow start to overwhelm the defenses.
