I enjoy thearea greatly. I bought my first knowing about some issues. New roof ac/heat hardwood paint interior and ext etc. when I finally sold I made off very well for the time and money spent.

 

I've got a question for you guys. I haven't ever really "modded" a vehicle. I want to add a few things to this Tacoma. I have no plans to go to a larger than stock tire. I will also build a matching Tacoma trailer to tow.

Must haves are:
Bed Stiffeners
Camper shell
Sliders with kickout/step plates(SOS Concepts)
Cab/Camper rack(Prinsu)
Trans cooler with scan gauge


Somewhere b/t must have and want
Headlight/fog wiring harness upgrade



Wants:
Front Bumper with full hoops(SOS)
Rear Bumper(SOS)
Skids(all 3)(SOS)
4runner brake swap(I understand I will need to go 17" rims.....want the FN Pro)
Shit I have not yet run across

Now for the question.........I don't mind spending money on a suspension kit if I need it, but don't want one just to have one. Do you guys think I'll need to add a lift kit for all the things I want to add? If so, Will the OME(886 or 887) with Dakar springs fit the bill?

Also im 3 benadryl deep now and they hay field is almost out of my system... And i get to do it all over again tomorrow afternoon (round bails so im just driving a tractor but it nearly killed me before my wife came with my first dose, one eye swollen shut the other half open)

Caught this beauty and another bigger one that shook out of my hand before I could take a picture of it. Paddle tail fluke and buzz baits today! Fish are getting more active! Chasing the faster moving baits!

 

You don't technically have to have a lift, but if you plan to wheel it, you'll want one for the ground clearance as well as larger tires for the ground clearance. Now, if you're building a mall crawler, lift not needed.

 

My uses will just include camping/kayaking. The stuff that isn't on my "must have" list will essentially be for looks and may very well not ever happen. I don't actually need anything that's on the "want" list. The only thing I will have that isn't a necessity is the matching Tacoma trailer

Cool. As much as I would like to have a bigger tires, it's just not needed for how I'll use this truck. I also don't want to spend money on regearing and all other associated costs that come along with the tires. Plus, if I end up with all the shit I want and find out I need the lift to keep things at stockish height......so be it
