Thanks for the warm welcome. I am fully prepared for the debt the forums can put you in. I had A LOT of money in my RSX Type-S and was an active member on ClubRSX.com. My first order of business is wheels and nurf bars/sliders (undecided). I want to have the ability to ride trails, but nothing extreme. I still need it for practical use.

    Lifeisaflaw, yes it is.

Bamatoy, Thanks, I will definitely keep you in mind if I need work I can't do myself.

Go with sliders. They will protect you if you get in a tight situation.

just changing shocks. i already upgraded coils to ome 881s. express oil change quoted me 150 to do it but im not 100% sure i trust a place that majorly just does oil changes id rather have a real mechanic do it. i got quoted by another place for 175. are those prices about average?

and for the record i really wish your shop was closer. would be nice to have a personal mechanic haha

If I were any closer my overhead would be too high for me to keep my prices like they are. sorry. lol
As for the change over, What I am trying to figure out is exactly what you want done. I am assumming you want me to remove the coilovers, then remove your existing springs and install them into the new shocks, and reinstall the setup. Correct?

It's after 9, so I try not to call after that time. I will call you tomorrow after I get to the shop.

I haven't had the truck two weeks, and have already had that conversation. "You're not planning on doing that to your truck........? You'll tear it up." I thought they made things to break, so that we can have fun fixing them.

I have access to a wall mounted spring compressor. It costs like 5 bucks to use. It is out on Redstone at the MWR auto facility. It took 20 minutes to change out 2 shocks for Justin. It takes longer to drive out there and back then to do the swap. You can also rent a bay out there and do the work there. Let me know if you want to consider it.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
Those coils can be a bitch. The guy who bought my truck broke his compressor trying to get them off.

Yes, you could have. I was making a little bit of a joke here, but in all honesty, I saw no need in it. Since it has been comment on twice, I will then speak my piece, and be done with it.

He and I were discussing him coming to my shop. As in my place of business. Where I would make sure that the job was done according to manufacturers specifications, which also comes with a warranty. I would not come in on a discussion between you and someone else if it were related to you making a living, and tell them "hey, I'll show you where you can get it done for almost free" and thereby taking food out of your household. Just my $.02.

can't we all just get along guys lol :taco:

On a side note, FINALLY bought some tires. i decided to go with 255/85-16's km2's since I'm still on stock rims. I didn't want the poke or width of 285's plus 255's were alot cheaper and lighter, anyways on with the pics.
