currently watching a live stream of a puppy rescue attempt in South Huntsville. a 5-6lb deaf foster puppy fell into about a 50ft hole in someone's backyard (they didn't know the hole was there) and the puppy has been in since 5pm yesterday. nobody can fit in the hole, and they are trying tons of solutions. puppy isn't injured as they can see it walking around sometimes and it has food and water. they just literally can't get it out

 

What diameter is the hole?

 

it's not necessarily a hole, more a crack. about 6 inches on the way down, couple of openings up top about a foot, but it was all covered by major rocks that they had to move except one little spot that was uncovered.

 

EFF THAT! those mofos better start digging a bigger hole somewhere else and get that dog asap!

 

too much rock, I believe digging would cause major issues at the bottom. rocks or whatever on the puppy.

 

Hmmm does not look good. They need a 50' long snare or some sort of sticky contraption. Pup might lose some hair on the way up but at least it won't die down there. Not a lot of room to work with by the looks of it.

 

yep, hate the live feed just ended, but it's a tough situation. cameras have verified the dog is ok and walking around. has water, and trying to lure with food...but so far unsuccessful.

 

Do they think the pup can climb out?

 

heck naw. it's like 50ft down man.

 

I know that but the lady mentioned the pup climbing up a ledge. Looked like there were ledges all the way down the dang hole from the only video snippet I saw.

Also on the storm front, captured this one last Saturday on my way back from the beach in Gadsden.

 

oh, not sure. I think she was saying when they laid a tarp down there it lands on like a rock so the puppy has to like climb up a bit to get to the food on the tarp. I think most of the way down is just smooth sides though with occasional rocks/ledges/etc

 

I guess I need to go look at the house I'm in contract for..

Did inspection Wednesday, should've held off till Friday it seems with all the weather lol
