I need my license renewed too, can I renew it in a different county than I got it

 

Has to be where your legal residence is.

 

Well that sucks, my one day off for the next month and a half and I have to drive up to Birmingham and get my license renewed

 

@whitedlite had to change his britches after that one

 

I almost always ride Natchez Trace. It's really fun unless there's tons of cyclists and "jeep" joyriders *shudder*

 

I think you can renew them any where in the state of Alabama, they are a state license.

Nice. When I was in my first apartment, I still had all regular mail (besides needed bills) to my moms address and when I went to renew mine they told me I had to renew where my legal primary residence was. Not sure why though.

The reason for the child behind the driver, is to allow the passenger to attend to any needs and to force the driver to pull over, in lieu of looking/reaching into the back seat (distracted driving).

Bottom line, whichever place your wife tells you, is the correct one...

Agreed with your bottom line though! Since we take hers everywhere when we both ride together, she wanted it on passenger side since itll just be me and baby in mine at the same time.

From a pure impact standpoint only, I believe the center is always preferred, followed by passenger side. I thought most T-bone accidents occurred to the driver side of the car.

Center, yes.

The fatal t-bone in front of HCES a couple years ago, impacted the passenger side.

The concern is the temptation to just turn your head and reach back, to address the child. This was purely my opinion, based on a friend's mom that flipped a car when she looked back to check on a child.
