Yup, I've had the exact same thing happen. The even more frustrating thing is that I had tracking information that said it had landed at the Birmingham downtown main post office / sorting facility. I called them and asked if I could come pick it up. The woman said that just because the tracking information said it was there, didn't mean it was there. I laughed and hung up. Government efficiency at work. What a bunch of fucktards.

You guys know what are insanely expensive? Side by sides. I thought "if I do buy some acreage, it'd be nice to have one"... until I realized even used, they cost as much as a used car!

I know, right? I figured a used one would be like a couple thousand or something... Nope! (Chuck Testa)

The reason for a sxs was to have something to drive back into the property and hop in and out of for various purposes with a bed.

But uh, I have a truck. For the money... I'll just chainsaw bigger paths.

I never understood why people would pay so much for them... and I still think they're vastly overpriced.

However... I had opportunity to absolutely flog a Polaris RZR S Sport with the Fox LT suspension...

I kinda get it now. That thing was way fun. I'm with you though, I mean hell, they're like $12k or something r'tarded brand new!

You can buy a real nice chainsaw for $12k. :p

Or buy an old beater jeep and run over things to make a path. When it shits out you'll be thinking "that was a lot less work than using a chainsaw". Plus it'll leak fluids as you go and then kill off any vegetation in the paths!

Hahaha. Well, we have a long ways to go anyway, just something we were thinking about. The other plans include checking out old wranglers (although they're also more $$ than I'd like), gas golf cart, or even a couple of used quads. ... or just use the wonderful truck I already own.

Hey guys, when you get a minute and are looking around the central Alabama area, and on CL, keep your eyes out for flip-cars. I am looking for cars and trucks selling for under $750 that I can put a small to modest sum into and resell for a profit. I gotta do something soon or my shop is going to be in trouble. I barely made payroll this week, and haven't paid myself in almost a month.

my cousin does that when its worth it. but youd be better off taking them to the auctions than sell privately...cause at the auction it will sell regardless. just my .02 and experience.

Problem with auctions is you never get near the $$$ you would get from a private sale, and you have to accept what the auction goes for. I have gone the auction route before in my career, and I will not sell at auction again. Too much hassle for me. Flipping for private-party is easy enough when you have a work cell that you can turn off at night, and I tell a potential buyer they can come out and look at it. Test drives are on appointment only, no walk-ups. I have better success on private-party sales than anything else.

I've been on the vehicle hunt, so ill keep an eye out. Also, I have a few things I need you to do to my vehicles if I fan ever find the time to get down there. That should help a little with income.

Let me know if you need someone to hand out flyers or something. I'm sure your lack of customers is just because people don't know you're there. Every mechanic shop around here has a whole lot full of cars waiting in line to get fixed.

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread

you are looking at sxs and quads at the wrong time of the year. right now the price gouging is crazy on those things because deer season in most southern states is only a month away. if you want to seriously look into either of those options wait til about march when folks are looking to dump them and the payments since hunting season is over. last year i turned profits on 3 dif things after season was over, 08 foreman 500, '10 rancher 420 4x4, and '11 rhino sport edition. bought both quads for 2500 or less and then flipped one of them to get the sxs and turned around and sold it recently for a shade under 11k. so my .02 is hold off on the hunt and then watch the papers and such you will easily find one for cheap they will be all over.
