Alabama thread!

Well, my father-in-law is in the hospital with a negative reaction to the chemo he is taking. He's got some swelling on his face that is on its way to covering up his eyes. Hopefully all will be alright by this evening. Still not sure what the doctors are going to do. It sucks, the man gets cancer then the treatment is what kicks him in the balls, not the disease. Cancer sucks.

Will do. Should know something this evening. A short ER visit has turned into what looks like a couple nights stay.

You are quite correct. Went through a year and a half with my wife a few years ago but thank God everything turned out OK. Prayers that everything goes well for for your father-in-law and family as well.

Not often for me luckily, I cross it more than I drive it.

 

There was a roll over at Redstone Bank yesterday from the parkway.

On another note, all siding is hanging on the shed, still need to finish caulking, and then building doors.

 

I was looking forward to a metal roof.

 

It's always an accident waiting to happen.

 

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Just got word he’s definitely staying one more night, most likely two. Hopefully the doctors can get this sorted out so he can go home by Saturday at least. He doesn’t want to miss any football.

 

Hey guys! Fairly new to Tacoma life and I've been researching a bunch on the forums in regards to lifts. Thinking about lifting my 2015 DCSB with 5100's, 884 or 885 OME Coils (can't decide and don't want to put new UCA's on right now), AAL and a spacer to account for the drivers side lean.

Question is, anybody in north Alabama (I'm in Huntsville) that could help with the lift? My car/truck knowledge goes to about the extent of an oil change and a tire change lol. I don't have any tools or garage to do the work but watching and helping any way I can would be a great learning experience. Would be happy to pay for services and bring some beer and pizza with!

 

welcome! it's cool to see you're immediately open to going to someone from here for help with a lift, because arguably these are the folks that know more than anybody on how to do this stuff.

 

I’ve installed a few lifts and done quite a bit to my truck as well as others trucks. I could help you out. But to be honest, buy a mechanics tool set and do some reading and you can install a lift on your own. Obviously don’t do it if you feel unsafe, but it’s not a hard job.

 

@TacoAlaMode is definitely the go to for HSV work, but I feel myself, @stronghammer, @Sandytaco14, and new comer @Jerneyman could definitely help out with Brian being busy with his SHE-SHED
