I did some research on my ARB solenoid misting and I'll post my findings here.

It could be my diff breather, but I doubt it because the ARB doesn't kick on and off constantly when locked in? It's a mystery at the moment.

"Hi, I had this issue on my rear ARB on my old LC, (front one was fine). There was nothing wrong, it was corrctly fitted all seals good (changed in case still the same). ARB admitted it "happens occassionally" they do sell a 'fix' but it just puts the breather into the air box for the oil to be burned. I fixed the covering of oil under the bonnet by adding a short length of pipe to a small juice bottle to just collect the oil. It actually is a tiny amount, in several years I barely had 1/4" of oil in the bottle with about a 2" or less diameter, just looks loads sprayed over the engine bay. Never had any issues with the operstion of the locker or pressure leaks etc."

Both my diff breathers are clear and free.

What happens is that a small amount of fine mist of oil gets into these lines because the lines are wide open to atmosphere from the locker when not actuated. This acts as another breather for the diff. You then pressure these lines up to 120 psig by turning on your locker.

When you turn that locker off, that 120 psig has to escape back out that line and through the solenoid. As that built up pressure is escaping it carries with it the residue oil in the line. If the oil is warm it makes this a bigger mess.

I wrap a Pig absorbant pad around my ARB solenoids."

 

@Jerneyman this is what I was talking about the difference in the way people do sliders.

Some just have one plate on the Frame, the bottom picture like I have wrap around the frame.

The ones on the bottom definitely look more sturdy. I'm convinced I should just weld my sliders on when I build a set.

Yea I had to get rid of some that it auto drafted for me. Had 2 kickers and have 2 defenses that I gotta get fixed, but all in all, my Bama boys brought home a dub for me!

 

yeah my team laid an absolute egg. 1 suspension and 2 major flops didn't help.
