That was a tough trail for sure. Actually that area was one of the easier parts of that trail. You can't see it but right behind the truck in that picture the wall to the left of the driver is almost straight up, that is were we all that went that route slid down. I had to back out at that part to let guy on a side by side that was in front of me turn around he would not try it.

I'm not sure. Probably going to have my uncle come over and take a look with me and maybe come up with a plan for it. Would love to have your input sometime.

I'm thinking just a standalone 2 car cover down at the end of my driveway. Something maybe like this, but not necessarily as fancy lol

I think I've got room in the front. Will have to clear a bit of foliage and some limbs first but the two giant pine trees drop so much crap on the vehicles I cant stand it.

Been a busy weekend. Got the bumper completely put together and did the finishing work with the grinder. Even had enough time to install my license plate mount. Now to just paint it and beat it to all hell next time we go wheeling.

Well might not have been wheeling lately but doing some improvements on the truck before trip to Colorado.

Always wanted a nice sound system so went with *********. Their harness alone which is integrated with our head system is a good way to go. Got their amps also but opted for Kicker speakers and tweeters.

First things first. Disconnect everything and strip the truck. Removed everything to include headliner and carpet. Didn't initially intend to do the roof and floor but one thing led to another and decided it was better to do it now than later.

    1- Bare door.jpg

    2 - Bare roof.jpg

Wanted to move my antenna mounts to the roof rack and this was the time to do it. Gigaparts had some bodacious heavy duty mounts (ones on Amazon sucked and got returned) so it became time to drill the hole in the roof for the cabling. Drilled the hole right behind the shark fin antenna and ran the cabling. You can see the grommet with the cabling coming into the truck. JB Weld to fill the remaining bit of a hole.

    3 - Antenna mounts.jpg

    4 - Antenna mount -2.jpg

Sound matting underway. Started with the back.

    5 - Back of Cab.jpg

    Then the doors.

    6 - Door with sount matting.jpg

Then the roof and added foam matting as well (also added to back of cab and eventually some to floor). Cant find pics I took of roof but here are others.

    7 - Floor Sound matting 1.jpg

    8 - Floor Sound matting 2.jpg

Major job was cleaning the headliner and carpet. Borrowed Brian's steamer but quickly learned that would take all day (thanks though Brian). So on to plan B. Got a bucket of Chemical Guys odor remover soap and a rag and gently washed down the headliner which worked well. Carpet also got the same treatment with a lot of scrubbing. Hung them up on a nice balmy Alabama day (93 and sunny) and rinsed them with a hose (gently) being careful not to wet the jute on the back of the carpet. Installed day after and they really came out great.

    9 - Washjob 1.jpg

    10 - Washjob 2.jpg

Amps installed, fired up and tuned.

    11 - Amps Installed.jpg

    12 - Fired up.jpg

    Major fail. New amp plate.

    13 - New amp plate.jpg

Plate worked our great for moving my relays, fuse box, and IDS battery controller as well as two other cables (not shown) for powering the amp and charging trailer batteries. Hooked it all up, had a good display inside (showed the car doors open) hit the power and truck shut down (not the normal start up and quit as the computer resets). Just quit dead with a dark gauge. A few choice words and decided to pull everything and return to one battery system (late at night of course; tired, hot, and sweaty already). Called Brian next day and met him at work for a quick look at normal setup. Back home and hooked up everything to a single battery. Fired up after the initial normal shutdown.:D Much relief of course. Believe I had a primary ground on my auxiliary battery instead of the main battery. Have since tested the relays and rewired switches inside the truck and they are working normally. Tired of dealing with the O gauge wire on my IBS dual battery system (it is very unwieldy and difficult to work with) and after quite a bit of research ordered some 2 gauge wire to make it a bit easier to wire everything up. Awaiting supplies for another try at reconnecting the dual battery system.

Sorry there are not more pics but you get moving along on the work and realize later you missed some stages that you should have taken pictures.

Final results: New stereo kicks ass although still some tweaking to do. Sound matting definitely dropped the road noise and air conditioning quickly cools off the truck. Got more weight added (again!) so re-gearing is continually on the mind. Won't be taking the trailer to Colorado so not as concerned for now. Lot of preps/maintenance to go before Colorado trip but it is steadily coming together.

Does anyone know how to figure out what address you have listed with the credit bureau? I’m trying to help my girlfriend set up a credit card and she has no clue which one it is

Back in a Toyota 4dr truck. Just a little bit bigger this go round. Ordering an ARE camper top, Decked drawer system, some helper airbags for when I'm carrying a full load / towing, and she'll be all set.
