Can you fit 35's with stock suspension and just cutting? This is getting interesting.

is removing the entire fender still considered "just trimming"?

I didnt know a dead battery could burn a starter up. But had to replace both which sucked. Some trimming, my truck still has The leveling on it but my suspensions is just old so. I will let y'all know on my next day off, if anybody wants to come experience this trimming and fitting with me lemme know!!! Haha, I'm not doing a chopshop now

Ah. Didn't realize you had the leveling kit, and was kinda scratching my head as to how you were running 285's, but that makes sense now.

I think Parker had to manhandle his firewall with a BFH to get 35's to fit. Might want to see if he can weigh in on it.

35s eh? It is a ton of fun to get them to fit. A little advice:

Dont hit the soft part (upper part) of the fender well very hard. I put a hole clean through it.

You are going to have to hit the corner extremely hard, just dont miss.

I would leave the door on, but take the fender off. I took both off and now my door does not shut exactly right because it tweaked the mount.

Seal it up really well when you are done, i had good success with bondo and bed liner.

Im not sure what your plans are for trimming the fender but a dremel worked well for me.

One more thing, i took the shock out and cycled the tire up and down multiple times throughout the process on each side and it helped a lot.

Let me know when your going to do it and i could stop and offer some pointers and hang out.

Install it yourself for free! If you do it on a date that i have off work, I'll come help. I've installed that very same setup on my 2007. They both have the same suspension.

We have multiple people here who may come help, too. The only way to know it's done right is to do it with your own two hands!

And welcome to TW from Montevallo!

Okay, this truck has what appear to be Fabtec coilovers on the front. And they ride like shit. They appear to be cranked all the way up. Does anyone have a spanner wrench?

Next question.... I'll likely be helping our new member mtwil9 install his new lift on his 2012, most likely the weekend of the 20th. If anyone has the weekend off and wants to make it a group effort, let me know!
