So from what I'm reading, I should go with 4.56 gears with my MT... is that something you've heard as well?

 

I would talk to ECGS. They are the ones that convinced me to go with the 4.88s over 5.29s or 4.56s. Or @whitedlite may have the answer for you, seems to know this subject well.

You know I'd have to know a lot of personal goals with truck to answer this. How much weight he may be adding, how big of tires he plans to go then go up one size bc no ones ever satisfied in size.

This info would be easy to get though. Get transmission code and find a calculator, you'll enter your tire size and find a gear ratio that puts you with just a tad more power than stock.

If you've replace a CV axle you can push the axle into the splines on the rear. Then just check torques.

Same for both front and rear.

You can do the front just check torques and it's not much different than replacing a CV.

On the rear just gasket or rtv it and push it in housing with axles pulled an inch or 2. Wiggle axle shafts and get them into the splines and push tight. Put the 4 bolts around the outside of axle shaft on ends walla.. its really as easy as it sounds.

I didn't mention drive shaft but that's easy as well. This is old technology that was made super duper easy to work on.

 

It's really as simple as it sounds. Every bolt that needs to be checked I can think of off top of my head is in these two photos

I'm sorry to hear man. My FIL became really terrible when his wife passed away 5 years ago and my wife put up with him yelling at her and cussing her out for everything she did to try and help him and finally a month or so ago he told her her didn't care if she or her family lived or died and if he saw her in public he would turn and go the other way... So she finally cut the cord and its been pretty peaceful for a little over a month now.

It may not be easy but in the long run it will be a lot healthier.

 

Had to come into work today to finish up something. T minus about 30 mins before I leave this bish! What a beautiful day for a golf tournament! Also, for being able to have my first fire pit of the season!

Interested in this as well. My biggest concern is the cameras that are connected via WiFi, are thy encrypted to where only I, the owner, can access them or can anyone hack in to them if they're smart enough.

 

Be the safest route. I'd want to be able to access mine remotely though.. which means internet connection to my camera system. Its mostly so I could potentially check on my dog and see if I remembered to shut my garage door though. Lol.
