    Blower motor on my main AC unit burned up when I turned the unit on tonight. Filled the house up with acidic smoke smell. All doors and windows open and my AC unit guy will be out tomorrow to price me a new unit.

    How’s that for a welcome home?

    lol, that's not a star lug, that's plastic. look closer the lugs are behind those black plastic covers you just pull them off then take a wrench to the lugs.

    but yes, most cars now a days for weight and space savings do not come with a spare, however my VW Jetta had a full size spare, so did my 2 other Golfs, some people just buying the wrong cars.

    Not my car. Wife's friend's. They said it didn't have a spare so I brought a pull handle, sockets, and jack equipment with the intention of taking the tire off and leaving the car till they could get it replaced.

    Plastic or not. Those things weren't coming off with what I had with me. The thing that chaps my ass is why not at least provide a tool to remove them with the car. What the car did come with was 3/36K roadside assistance, so we decided to just tow it and let VW foot the bill.

    After reading up it seems the spare tire is a dealer added option for the new Jetta. It includes the needed tool to remove the locks. All you get is a can of fix-a-flat from VW. :spending:

    Hey north Alabama guys if y'alls trick or treat plans get rained out or you're in decatur, my church is having a "glow fest" in side where we have some games set up with candy and there will be fortnite dance competitions and we are giving away an Xbox 1 (16 and under to enter) and a ton of free stuff (Duncan donuts, taco bell and some other fast food freebies). We are at new song on hwy 31 on the south end of Decatur near the state troopers' office
