I’ll build a set for myself and let y’all decide what you think. I think I can do it for less than 100 bucks though.

 

I see the at the helm ones are actually just L brackets. The ones I have mold to my bed a bit better and go up higher.

 

I plan to make them as tall as I can.

 

Can you make them with just gussets and no tie down holes?

Uhhh its never ending lol. Its like an addiction. Almost 20k into her now. Thank god for team share bonuses lol.

Getting closer with every order. Ill have to add it all up to be sure. But my rough guestiment is around 15 to 17 right now. Thats camp equipment and all.

She knows every bit of it. I ask her approval before any purchase is made. Shes not happy about it most of the time but she understands im a gear head and i could of picked race cars to build which would have been way more lol.

 

I’ll have some build by next week some point. I’ll make sure and take lots of pictures. Out of town all week this week so everything is on hold for the time being.

Also, I have a set of original KB VooDoo HD Cross Bars laying around in my garage, if you need templates for something like that.

They are part of his 1st Gen Cargo Basket system.

 

I generally like to design from scratch as much as possible. Probably a pride thing, but I like to see if I can solve design problems on my own first to avoid any sort of rip off on other designs. Appreciate the offer though.

 

These attach to the sliding D-rings on the rail system. If you ever need them for measurements, just let me know.

Also, I’m trying to recall, was I asking for bed stiffeners? They’re always a good idea, but don’t recall discussing them recently.
