Spending a good portion of my life working in malls I would say the person who is able to decide what a viable replacement or a must visit space with in malls or malls that have closed down will be the next Billionaire. Below are two articles I was able to dig up that I read a good while back that was an interesting concept.

Retirement homes for Senior Citizens. Look like little homes inside with porches and a Main Street. Senior Home Community.

I would not like someone in my house, I would never be comfortable.
My sister has a rental house and it took her 14 months to get someone out that stopped paying rent.
If everything goes good it could be a good thing but...

 

30 years ago it was a really nice mall.
They let little punks take over the parking lots, fights, stabbings... got so bad people just stopped going there, sad.
Eastwood mall use to be across the street behind the Olive Garden that is there now, It was nice too but it was the 1st to shut down.

 

I remember going to Eastwood mall when I was a kid and playing arcade games at Diamond Jims. Goodtimes

 

Yep. We had solid producing locations for a time there. Very unfortunate! Luckily though we had locations close by that associates could transfer to when we decided to close them. So the associates had minimal impact other than a location change.

You would be surprised what all is abandoned in Birmingham that people explore.

 

well I'm in a little pickle. My demello offroad bumper finally came in and now I'm looking at lighting options. I've got a 10" rigid E series that I had been running but my original plan to cut out the DO and mount it there isn't going to work. There just isn't enough room. My backup plan was to mount it under the bar. But now looking at the bumper it looks like that would require me to cut into the grill to fit the light. Any ideas?

 

A friend I used to explore with made a YouTube video from memorial mound and got alottttt of heat for showing bones and stuff inside some of the caskets since it’s “disrespectful”. Pretty sure his photos and videos contributed to memorial mound being boarded up again.. rumor has it there’s another way in.. however I think all the bodies have been moved, or what was left anyways.

Birmingham has several vacant/decaying spots to visit.

 

There’s some really cool stuff up there to explore. I’ve seen a lot of awesome photos from the area.

 

Have an Army Captain (Major now) that I have known for 10 years stay during the weekdays (commuted on a regular basis from Chattanooga to work at Redstone). Wife likes the extra $'s every month. Screen them well. If you own ask for a deposit and have them sign a contract. They need to understand it ain't a free ride.

Also I had someone I was specifically thinking about asking, doesn’t party doesn’t drink, I’m the same.

Told him 600 a month plus half utilities. He said very fair when apartments are 1200 with not as much stuff. I don’t expect any help outside, just interior cleanliness.

Also yes, deposit and I told him a contract. Not necessarily a binding lease, but a contract. He can leave at any time as long as I’m paid up. I’ll work on a document of course.

This wouldn’t be till New Years or a bit after.

7200 extra a year, plus half bills saved. Win win since we get a long well. Stable job guy, it’s going to be a cash deal though
