with a 4:1 crawl ratio it would handle 37's offroad fine, it's the onroad you may not like.

you'd have to check the wrangler forums.

    Only the best.
The rear doors and back of the cab looks aweful. Solid front axle is cool. Chrysler power plant will take you to the middle of nowhere and leave you stranded. Just my 2 cents

see I actually like the look of it, I like the "boxier" styling myself. that's what I love about old toyotas moreso than new ones.

but yes the fact that it is Chrysler/Fiat garbage or whatever would deter me.

well the awesome thing is they've used the powerplant in that thing forever.

so before taking our take on it's reliablility you'd need to check with wrangler forums and keep in mind most people never join a forum till a problem. for every 1 engine issue reported there's 99 that are chugging along fine. Take everything with a grain of salt.

it's going to come down to, do you like boxy or do you like rounded.

thing is people bitch about a wrangler being boxy, yet love a boxy samurai. lol

Cummins designed the 3.0 EcoDiesel and then Fiat pulled the manufacturing and engineering ownership out from under them and moved it to Italy. They were decent engines, but I bet the "cost savings" bean counters at Fiat will ruin it.

weight is always an issue for those things though.

the cummins 4bt was a freaking rattler too, drove an fj80 with one before.
made me realize that is an engine swap not worth doing.

yeah...see...I'm not a diesel "fan". They serve their purpose with towing and such, but blowing head gaskets and other issues just because it happened to be Tuesday keeps me away from any of em.
