600-2 used to have a couple washouts that would flex the truck pretty hard (and might actually make a 2wd struggle), but from what I have heard 600-2 got graded recently. You will probably just be running smoothish dirt and gravel roads most of the time.

Being hunting season, you will have to camp in designated campgrounds and I’m not sure there is one immeaditely off either trail but there are several around the area.

    Maybe.

But I do have a geography based degree and make maps for a living.

So it’s more that I’m a map nerd.

They aren't true D44s. The axel tubes are the same as the D35s. The 44s just have bigger housing and r&p.

3.73 for manual and 4.10 for auto

Specifically the 44s in my scout II.

In my JK pictured above I had to go to a prorock 44 front and rear after bending both axles with 35"s and planning on stepping up to 37"s

My front housing was bent so bad that the shafts were rubbing inside the housing. And I couldn't even put an RCV shaft in.

sounds like you did some bouncing, the axle itself is good, and a truss is cheap.

I didn't baby it. Loved hearing that blow off valve on the supercharger, but didn't bounce it, thats how you start breaking stuff. The weak housings are a known issue with jeep axles. That's why there are so many companies that make sleave and truss kits. Hence my comment about needing it to run 37"s.... unless you're just driving it around a mall and flexing on speed bumps.

And if you're saying the axle shafts are good.... the rear flange would bend in no time at all even with factory tires and wheels. Granted usually just on the unlimiteds.

They will do it for sure! The axles just aren't square. I mean I rode with bent rear shafts for a couple months and just dealt with the shimmy.
