This is why I want a hardshell. The canvas tents are a brick as far as aerodynamics is concerned.

I noticed a pretty significant difference when I added the Prinsu. I got 11.5 MPG from Huntsville to Birmingham on 65 last week. Of course I was pushing it a little. Bout 80 - 85. I used to get 15 - 17 MPG on the interstate when running 70 or so.

really? I didn't notice a difference from the prinsus when I first installed them.

basically the only things so far that have affected me, in order of impact:
    35" tires
    33" tires
    camper shell
    softshell tent
    bumpers
    hardshell tent

that's about all I noticed that had any affect whatsoever.

My tent sits below the cab, so not much is changed aerodynamically (head on atleast). I was just talking about the weight of the tent.

My MPG actually doesn’t even drop much at all with the tent

gearing is insane. I'm sitting roughly around the 15mpg mark where a lot tend to sit just with 33s and a little armor and my truck is fully loaded down getting that on 35s now. if mpgs is a big concern, gearing needs to be a focus fo sho

Lube the shit out of your O-ring and remember that you do not have to tighten that down very much. Just a lil past snug will do.

I have a toyota supplied tool from when i worked for em. Ive seen many a tech use an impact on them. Not i tho. I have an 80 tooth long handle snap on that i use for it. It being longer helps alot.

I was watching a guy trying to train someone how to shoot end up blowing a hole through his own holster while wearing it.:quickdraw::infantry::bananadead::facepalm:

Finally caught up.. Here's the highlight of my weekend- mud swimming. Wonder what it would take to rig a winch to my luggage rack :welder:
