    ok shit starter lol.

I have the 48" because it was dirt cheap in a group buy, haven't even had to use it, even said I would've bought the 60" if it had been cheaper.

Twice I've been involved in situations where we used hi-lfts, twice we used 48" hi-lifts only. Once with Jeff at Moab, once with Jimbo at Chocco (used 4 hi-lifts at once, all 48")

I'm just saying don't tell someone they need to spend extra on the 60" with nothing to back it up.

I ended up flipping the gold piece and moving it to the top so I don’t have to change anything to use the jack.

It’s on a mount made by a member on the forum and ended up being an absolute perfect fit with my bed stiffeners

I was just saying it’s an extra insurance policy, not that he has to buy it. I’m simply sharing an opinion that was requested and providing a basis for said opinion.

    I’m not 100% sure I’d have a 60” if I didn’t get mine brand new for $60. I’m glad I do have the 60” though.

see my original response to his question, was there any reason to try to argue? no.

arguing that the stability of a 60" is better than the 40" is like arguing that your left hand is better than your right hand for wiping your ass, you still don't want to use it.

Definitely one of the Hugh advantages to the 48”

Just think about how much of a pain it will be to get out if you ever need it with the bed full and the tent on

    or....maybe you're just a shit starter :stirthepot:

:rofl::rofl: but not if it comes down to the right hand having to take it?? If I'm having to wipe my ass directly with my hand, just hit me over the head with a 60" hi-lift, the extra length will in fact add to the momentum and increase the chances of a death blow.

someone with more knowledge than me. what does "write speed" mean when it comes to memory/sd cards? Is that the speed at which it transfers/downloads to the computer?

Write speed is how fast data can be written to the card.
Read is how fast it can be downloaded to computer from the card.

gotchaaaa. so the write is more important than the read, when it comes to getting quality video?

Yeah, the documentation for your camera should recommend a certain class or write speed to be able to record at max resolution/frames per second.

You'll also kick yourself if the read speed is too slow because it will take forever to get video off your camera too :/ The new high resolution cameras can end up with a lot of data very quickly too. Might want to consider a very big hard drive if you intend to save much video!

is there an "optimum speed" that I should look at for write speed?

GoPro recommends using the SanDisk Extreme 64GB card, which is 40MB/s write speed.

    but

there is the SanDisk Extreme PLUS 64GB that has 60MB/s write speed.

I would just got with what the recommend. Won't be any benefit to it being faster than the camera needs for write speed. You'll have to do your own calculations to see if the increased read speed is worth it though.

the read speeds are actually the same, and they also have the exact same minimum write speed. only difference is the max write speed.

    thank you sir, and @BAMATOY

I'm just wanting to make sure I have all of the stuff to start getting good quality video with the GoPro. I have little to zero knowledge of this stuff so I'm learning.
