    Mount the box to the stiffener and call it a day! You definitely need to get stiffeners sooner rather than later if you run a RTT.

    I think that may be wrong, I know y'all's truck is not a 1st gen but mine are torqued to 90lbs according to FSM.

    I'm just saying what the document says. Ain't no use in arguing with me, argue with the document creator. Its says 37ft lbs in at least 4 locations on 4 different sheets.

    I'm with you mine are set to 37ft lbs. Never had a problem, surprisingly everything I have touched on my truck is torqued to that sheets specs.

    I keep most if not all torqued to that. Some things are tightened to a close torque because a torque wrench wouldnt fit

    Okay - I started it last night so I'll put it to bed tonight. Thanks for all your input! I'm going to stick with my 60 ft. lbs. I found a discussion here (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/check-your-u-bolts.397913/ ) and the manual here (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-tacoma-service-manual-availability-pdf.485229/page-6 ) that has the manual. Looks like the third gen is 52 ft. lbs. in one place and 37 ft lbs in another.... I'm gonna assume you are safe with either one...

    By bedsides were either bowed out from the factory or with mild off-roading before my rtt went on and I’m sure the rtt made it worse. I could visually see the bedsides straighten as I tightened down the upper bolts on the stiffeners.
