how is the truck coming along dave? any updates?

 

Had it nearly done on Monday, but the outer tie rod end had some messed up threads and we couldn't get the nut back on. Bill ordered a new one. May have gotten it done Tuesday, but I haven't had a chance to contact him because I worked late yesterday.

But other then that, just have to bleed the brakes and work on cosmetic stuff.

 

Tie rod going in today. After that it will be time to begin the abuse...er...I mean time to go 4 wheeling!

 

gotta make it to the trail first. lets all cross our fingers this time when he leaves the shop...... just in case.

 

I don't abuse vehicles!

There are only a few parts left under there that haven't been replaced, like the frame for instance.

 

oh no dave!!! you have gone and done it this time. the frame is gonna fall off the truck now when you leave the shop...... or a door might fall off???? still think there should be some fingers crossed.

 

it's turning out like my old truck!!!! except not any engine problems.

 

Sadly the driver door is a possibility. Will be hitting the local junk yard for a replacement soon.

I said no engine problems though. I meant that everytime something gets fixed on it something else needs to be replaced.

As Dave and I talked about it, we both knew that there were going to be things found as we went. They had the coils cranked all the way up, and this pressure was too much for the ball joints, bearings, and tie rods for that matter. That is why Dave cranked them down a bit before we got started. Most of the entire problem has been with the front end. Also, his truck is not in here as a customer's truck. Because of this I only am able to work on it every so often. With that, and my mom being in and out of the hospital, it has taken some time to get everything done, and done right. Don't worry Dave, when you get your truck, it will be ready for the trails and the road.
