@BamaTaco56 I ordered that welding table. Here's the link to what I bought. They even threw in free lift gate delivery with the other free stuff. So needless to say, I got a pretty good deal all said and done. I ended up paying less than the list price just for the table.

What made you go with the block over the flat table?

 

It’s going to be more consistently flat over its lifetime due to its construction. It’s also heavier and gives more options for clamping and such. Also came in the size that will most easily fit my shop and work with what I build most. Looks cool too.

Just take a look at all the add ons you can get for the blocks as well. I’ll be able to add 1 foot in width per side if I ever choose to do so.

 

nobody may care, but oh well, this is interesting to me since I work with Carrier and JCI on a regular basis...if JCI were to consume Carrier that would make things interesting...

we were supposed to go one week in April to tour and have a seminar at the Carrier facility at West Palm Beach and they pulled the plug on that one and aren't doing it at all, we think it's tied to this whole UTC/Carrier/JCI fiasco.

Go get evaluated for Lasik/Lasek. Best thing I ever did. My Mom (miss you) had it done and she was reading without glasses at 84.

surgery isn't available to fix astigmatisms at this time. lasik is just for those with regular vision issues....not the misshapen eye issues.

Edit: my bad, it is able to fix some astigmatisms but more likely to have to return for surgery again as it's not as permanent of a fix.

Lasik is never a permanent fix. Your eyes continually change as you go through life.

And, I think Lasik is not compatible with cataracts surgery. (Not positive though.)
