im up for something after it gets a little warmer.

 

copy and paste what i got and throw in a date. I figure its best to have a running list of when everyone is good to do something. makes it easier to plan.

Birmingham here as well! Glad to see folks are finally coming together from Alabama on this. Tried to get a meet together a while ago and nothing ever happened.

 

Well it looks like i found this post right about the time everyone was done talking about it. Sorry dont get too many chances to get on here so hopefully I can find out when you guys are meeting up and join in. Seems like there may be enough of us around Birmingham to be able to meet up some weekend and just get a bite to eat and do intros. LEt me know if that sounds good to anyone.

Im down. As long as Uncle Sam doesn't have me working on the weekend of the meet. I would offer my place in B'ham, but I live in a apartment. Not exactly ideal for a bunch of lifted trucks.

I may not be an expert on anything but i can turn a wrench and am more than willing to help anyone do just about anything. I would be very interested in the bhlm if someone could walk me through. bustin open stuff like that is not my cup of tea. I prefer more of the stuff that involves busting knuckles.

 

also if you wanna meet up around birmingham i could possibly provide my house. not much but there is a parking lot for a church directly behind my house and if all else fails we could meet up at oak mountain state park or somethin.

Yeah, I haven't seen much around. There is grayrockorv.com. I haven't been there yet, but they claim trials for all levels.

I need some AT tires before I can do anything thou.

 

grayrock is pretty beasty. my neighbors go there all the time with there crawlers.

 

Well, I need about 3 grand to sink into my truck before I am willing to go close to beasty. Grand for skids, Grand+ for lift, new tires.

What I hear from most of my friends is that the huge "redneck" trucks rip everything up and leave it unusable for us reasonable folks around here. I'm not bashing, just repeating what I hear.

I keep looking for a poweline trail or logging road just in case.

 

There's some easy dirt road type "offroading" out in Talladega National Forest. I took my 100% stock TRD OR 4x4 out there and drove around for a couple of hours. Nothing crazy. Only needed 4x4 once.
