I never understood brand loyalty. *shrug* I just don't get it... I'll buy whatever is the best deal, I don't care who makes it. Cherokees are a good deal, wranglers are overpriced as can be. Tacos are the best compact trucks on the market IMO, but you'd never catch me in a tundra.

 

hell i cant say anything about brand loyalty, ive had a nissan, chevy, ford, gmc, honda, a few toyota's. as long as they are good to me i dont care what emblem is on them. but i know there are some that its best to stay away from in all the brands, luckily i havent owned any of those. but i say if i see ya on the trail or the road you must have a pretty good rig cuz it got ya that far.

 

I have no brand loyalty at all. I got burned by my chevy, so I probably won't buy another any time soon.

An offroad rig is an offroad rig. I'll gladly wheel with whatever whoever drives. I can understanding choosing who you wheel with by how built there rig is, but not by its brand. If i'm locked front and rear with armor and etc....i won't have much fun wheeling with lesser built vehicles.

no i'm not. and I wouldn't expect you to put your truck through the paces I would put my jeep through. Its your daily driver. what I'm talking about is more evident with jeep owners. You'll catch someone whose got 10k+ in there mods, but has never wheeled hard before, or you have someone who will wheel the piss out of what they got. Usually you end up waiting on the latter cause they keep getting into things they aren't capable of.

 

i rarely wait on a ladder, cuz im really tall(like 6'6") so i dont normally need a ladder.

 

damn things are expensive too.

 

esp those fancy ones that fold all around and by the time they are folding up all the way they can almost fit in your back pocket but then when you extend them you can be a peeping tom in a penthouse window.... yeah my wife got one of those before we ever met so i lucked out and inherited it when we got married. in a way i traded all my kitchen stuff (which apparently wasnt good enough ) for one kickass ladder.

I looked at it. Really nice build. Can't haul it anywhere, can't drive it on the road either, it's also carb'd, and I'd really like to be able to have a back seat.

Well, probably could but the dana 44's are going to add another few hundred pounds over the toyota axles, plus 33" MTs->36" swampers.
