It's right off 1-59 around Ft. Payne. I figured we could meet at the Jack's right there off the interstate, grab a biscuit and then head on out. It's not much really. Some wildlife management area roads and a mild creek crossing. It's been a few years, so I may make a few wrong turns on the management area. Don't hate me!

 

No lie, if this was Sunday I would be in. I haven't been back in there in years and the weekend is suppose to be perfect. I have a golf tourney Saturday that I have already paid my entry fee for though

 

So meet where? I’d be coming through hwy 31, intersecting the interstate before getting to fort Payne.

 

You realize the fastest way for you would be 72 to 35 thru Scottsboro...

Yep, I was there 2 weeks ago.

 

If you're coming from Scottsboro, the Jacks will be on Hwy 35 and I-59.

Yeah scotty, it's not an all day thing. I think Little River Management area is about 7500 acres, so it's not too big. Probably about an hour or two will be enough to explore the management area.

 

I just don't have the whole day to devote to wheeling but I want to get out and about.

LOL at the minivan! Obviously, you don't need 35s to get around Little River! lol That creek you just saw, after a big rain, it's impassable. It's pretty damn muddy after a rain and if they haven't maintained the roads there lately, there's a possibility of getting stuck. I bet it's dry as a bone there now.

 

As stated earlier, my son's baseball awards starts at 6pm, Jeannie and I will ride and then head back home. Yall are more than welcome to come on by and go swimming in our pool if you like!

 

sounds fine to me, I'd like to bring the doggos along. Amy has morning plans so it might just be me and 1 dog but if she moves those plans she will attend and bring her pup too.

The more the merrier! The highlight of the ride will probably be Little River Falls. It's beautiful there. My wife and I have hiked all up and down that Little River Canyon area. We can take the scenic route out if you like, down to the mouth park of Little River Canyon. It's also a nice place to take the kiddos camping too.
