I've seriously been debating getting a partner on a cabin. I just get nervous.

I'm not going to be backpack camping, all car camping. so all I have to do is strap it down to the truck then setup when I get to the park. easy peasy.

Fair enough. Thats exactly why I'd like to get away from the RTT. Its not practical to setup, then need to tear down to go launch a boat, run to the store, or make an emergency drive to a bathroom nearby for ladies, etc.

Edit: unless it was on a trailer.. but then still not practical if towing a boat.....

Huh? That's what the wood line is for! A small shovel, pack of baby wipes and you're good as gold!

thats all fine and dandy for me, and my wife will rough it when needed, but its not an option when you realistically camp with others on your trips or camp in fairly developed spots in parks lol. Trust me, I'm all for roughin it out in the middle of the woods, but there's no rules about having comforts while camping lol It makes it more enjoyable for me if I'm not getting pissed at my wife or daughter bc I just busted my tail setting up camp just to need to tear it down bc there's something down the road at the store that we actually really need for the trip lol.

Buy my RTT and take it on a few trips lol They're not all that they're made out to be as far as ease of setup/teardown hah.

We have a lugaloo bucket top. We throw some kitty litter in a 13 gallon bag and put it in there. Works okay. Wife wants to get a dometic 5 gallon flushing camp toilet. About $135 for one tho

Edit: and we also have a quick pitch cvt shower tent that is amazing for the ladies

Jeannie and I go up to the Blue Ridge Mountains every Fall. To me, it's much better than Gatlinburg.

yeah bathroom situation usually isn't an issue, and there's definitely really easy affordable options. But the millions of reasons someone might want or need to drive the truck somewhere during the trip, the RTT really interferes with that. I debated throwing it on a trailer, but that doesn't help my long term goal of being able to tow a boat too. It'd work for now in most trips if I made a trailer for hauling the yaks and the RTT, but thats alot of work and money for a solution I know I'd eventually dump.

Honestly, something big enough for us 2 and the dog and maybe even the kiddo once she is a little older. Definitely want to be able to stand in it but also I did like the idea of that Malamoo having a little mud room/front porch area to be able to leave shoes, clean dog, etc. Nothing set in stone at all really, I just happened to be talking to my buddy and he camps all the time and mention getting rid of his so thats what triggered me even looking around at them. Hannah does really want to have a have a full weekend camping this fall so I have plenty of time to get one.

IIIIIIIII know this lol. My wife and daughter who just so happen to be of the woman species do NOT! lol. I love to plan. Part of the fun for me doing a trip is prepping for it and getting everything packed in its perfect spot. "Most" women however, just wanna throw a dozen pairs of clothes in a bag with some essentials last minute, not remembering that they still need to brush their teeth twice a day for example. And I love my people with all my heart, and I'll swap slobber with my wife, but I aint sharing my toothbrush with nobody..

Sounds just like us. The little room is workable around but the gazelle tent has plenty of space for your needs for sure.
