I'm admitting the work I'm doing is far from what I went to school for considering I've never done Calculus, heat transfer, or hand calculated stress analysis at work. Probably never will. Fine by me, I'd rather get in to destructive testing.

 

haha bruh sameeee. I've done literally nothing in my 2 jobs that I did in school, well I did some thermodynamics at my last job with the HVAC stuff but not much.

 

Not down playing Thermo, but its a lot of cook book calculations anyway. Good on you for at least using it at your job though. Haha.

 

haha I hated thermo, 2 especially. I'm glad to not use it or heat/mass transfer.

I'm a kinematics/dynamics fan. This job though won't use any of that, just so product specific they can't teach it in school..

 

Yep. Sounds like what I do here. I might get to do some basic analysis for when we build a few certain things but its more or less, is this design within a certain factor of safety. So we just overbuild it by 3X. Lol.

 

first time camping trip for my youngest girl (1yr) wish us luck. My 7yr old loves the boat, water and camping so im just hoping the youngest will be the same way. Wish us luck this weekend. Everyone be safe

Thanks! Yeah the oldest just started staying up on the surf board behind the boat so that is all she wants to do. I'm not sure the other can stay in the boat all day. So we will have to find a good balance to keep them both occupied for sure.

Some of you....ahemScottieahem.... were bashing third gens yesterday for the tailgate gap when a camper is installed.
I took this pic this morning. It is my reinforced ARE Z series with carpet, lights, and a Prinzu on top of it. It has been on the truck for two years without bed stiffeners. And, I think it passes the test for having been wheeled “pretty hard”
