I'm from Vietnam. I joke around and call myself a dirty mexican sometimes. It really confuses people when I do that! lol

We came over in '74, I was just a few month old infant then. My older sister got separated in Danang, when VCs started mortaring the port our ship was supposed to depart from. Needless to say, my mom ended up having to leave on the boat without her, with just me in her arms. She found her way home in Danang and 18 years later, my parents became US citizens and sponsored her over here to the US.

Have some close friends that their Dad put the kids on a boat (they were about 8 YOA) and off they went down the Mekong as Saigon (believe it was Saigon) was being shelled and burning. Picked up in the South China Sea and eventually reunited with family here. He works as a safety engineer for NASA launches.

Alright, I apologize for my assholeness towards you. It's somewhat because I know you'll rebuttal, but that's not an excuse for it.

I have a pretty incredible story to tell about refugees fleeing from Vietnam. I'll save that for a campfire story behind the tune of a guitar one day!

Vietnam was a sad time in history, for all parties involved. The Americans have their historical story about it and the Vietnamese people have their side of the story as well.

it's all good dude, seriously I don't take anything to heart on here, but I'll call people out...just as I expect to be. if somebody doesn't like me they don't have to talk to me. I'm sorry for how I am too haha

We ended up in Los Angeles as our main port. There, we were linked up with a Lutheran church family that sponsored us and flew us to Gadsden, Alabama. The Trinity Lutheran Church on Rainbow Drive, is who made our stay in America possible. Got my mom a job at Jack's and my dad a job at Dixie Tool and Die. We lived in a trailer for years, wore thrift store clothes and ate leftovers for the longest. My father retired from Goodyear in Gadsden after 34 years of service. My parents came to America with an infant child and $7 in their pocket. You should see the house they live in now.... Failure is not an option for me, after seeing what my parents had to endure, all to ensure that my sisters and I got a better chance at life, than in a war-torn country.

Guy at work I'm friends with has a set of used 33s for 18 inch wheels if anyone wants them. He's wanting $200 for them I think. They're in half way decent shape.

I used 2x2 11 gauge square tube and 1.75 11 gauge round tube and then 3/16" plate for miscellaneous stuff.

i like the idea of 18's with 35's for on road and offroad manners. It would be the same sidewall we have now.

18's with 33's is a nope from me.

Acoustic is all I have ever played. I've never owned an electric before. I do want to buy a small amp and cord to plug into the back of my acoustic though!
