I like them on the hybrid bumpers or full tube, but seen a couple stuck on full plate bumpers and it looks dumb and out of place to me.

 

The only plate I'm using will be for the winch plate/mount and the skin that goes over that. I plan on a full length of tubing around the top and then support tubes tying in underneath. The winch plate will be 1/4" so I never have to worry about deflection under load like I've been worried with my aluminum bumper.

Go with what you like man, you don't need approval from us, to tell you what you like! I personally like the stinger look! I say do it. If you're thinking it, you're wanting it, at least a little!

This is what I'm referring to. I like the idea of being able to hook my winch line up high for easy access when going through deep stuff if you get stuck.

And if I hate it, I'll cut it off and re do it. Lol.

Thats not really too over the top that it would look funny. In your case, function over style so do it to it!

 

That might be the same bumper actually. I think that one in the picture is a TrailGear bumper.

Yeah, my whole truck is function over style at this point. I didn't do the suspension work and re gear for style points.

You're right. I'm not on 35's yet. I haven't completely succumbed to ruining my truck for wheeling purposes.
