Why do i have to be poor right now.

 

On a build thread is there way to make a “sticky post” that stays at the top? I’d like the first post to be where my truck is at and all my current mods list rather than my very first build post

 

just edit your first post and put all of that info in it.

My buddy is wanting to straight trade up tire set ups. His 315/75/16’s on his 97 4Runner, for my 285/75/16’s. Mateo runs 315’s on the same suspension set up I have...his offset is at -25mm and mine would roughly be -32mm...thoughts? Obviously lack of power from gearing is an issue and possibly trimming for fitting but any other issues? Am I opening a can of worms that doesn’t need opened?

 

I know first hand and so does @stronghammer theres not enough room for a 14” from king. You can most certainly fit a 14” Bilstein 7100, but on any other 14” shock the compressed length is about 3 inches too long. This specs that are referenced for compressed and uncompressed lengths are accurate.

 

Why get 12s when you can get 14s with wild wild Wes fab shock hoops

 

The can needs opened, But “possible trimming” will include taking close to 2 inches off around your fenders.

It’s a lot of work to actually fit 35s

 

Does it really need “opened” though? In all honesty?

 

You plan to go wheeling? Yes. Otherwise slap a gigantic bump stop spacer on there and you’ll do fine.

 

Depends on what you want to do with your truck.

If you are questioning it, don’t get them. You need to be fully committed.

I mean I offroad and have enjoyed what I’ve been doing in the 33’s but I know the benefits to more clearance and more contact with the ground. @Jerneyman aren’t you running 33’s

 

I meant going to 35’s from 33’s does that can really need opened. Lol
