I don’t of any reputable places for alignment here except for the dealership, but I don’t wanna pay dealership prices, so I’ll check 4wp out when time comes!

Sheeit, I’ve killed many deer in the rain! I’ve gotten sick afterwards too, so I’m mainly a dry weather hunter now. Plus I hate cleaning the rust off my guns after a good rain.

The worse the condition the better the hunt sometimes, but no this morning nothing moved all morning. Maybe this evening will be better

I want an A-bolt in stainless and synthetic for bad weather hunting. Most of my guns are blued/wood combo. I have to field strip them when I get home, dry and wipe the whole gun down with an oily rag.

I have an A-bolt in .308 and the bolt is smooth and the trigger breaks like glass. It's synthetic, but blued barrel, which rusts pretty easily. The Brownings are easy to disassemble to clean though. Yes, they are excellent rifles!

Stainless is good on those rainy days but it still gets nasty if not cared for properly, single shot .308 stainless for me. Just don't miss that first shot

I have single shot H&R Handi rifles too. You're right, I've rarely had to follow up with another shot, although I've had to track some down and put another round through em.

Your first deer is always memorable. Did you hang the balls around your neck, or drink some blood, or smear blood on your face? lol If you didn't, you won't kill another deer for a while! You hunt with a .243 right?

did you have any kind of coupon, i think they mentioned something like $150 since I have the Icons Billet UCA's.

I just adjusted them how I saw fit and then let firestone adjust the bottoms.

Whew, you did the ceremonial blood smear, which appeased the deer gods. Good luck this season bro! Check out the new regulations regarding electronic kiosks on management land now. I picked up a permit for Choccolocco and saw some new figures on the legend I'd never seen before. Evidently, it has something to do with scanning the bar code on your permit and license now.

Choccolocco, Coosa County, Little River, Bankhead NF(Sipsey Wilderness) and Sam R. Murphy are all the public land that we hunt, plus the 88 acres of landlocked acreage by the St. Clair county airport.
